Azerbaijan triples earnings from silk exports

For the January-to-April period of 2022, Azerbaijan exported 13.55 tons of raw silk worth $542,400, respectively, up 2.4-fold and 2.9-fold from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 6.55 tons of raw silk worth $255,440 to Iran, 5 tons (2.5 times more than a year earlier) worth $204,960 (+3.1 times) to India, and 2 tons (-47%) worth $82,000 (-32%) to Turkiye.
