Inauguration of Kazakh President scheduled for June 12

“We are planning to hold the inauguration ceremony on June 12. Of course, if the Central Election Commission fulfills its task, counts the votes and publishes the report [on the results of the presidential election” said, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who won the presidential elections, said.

Report informs citing RIA Novosti that seven people, including Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who was nominated by the Nur Otan party headed by former President Nursultan Nazarbayev, were registered as presidential candidates.

Notably, President is elected for a term of five years.

Earlier it was reported that by the preliminary data of the CEC of Kazakhstan, current head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was winning the election with 70.76% of the votes.
