Ankara says it won't ask for permission to conduct military operations

Turkiye will not ask for permission to carry out anti-terrorist operations, the purpose of which is to ensure the national security of the country, Ibrahim Kalin, the spokesperson of the Turkish president, said, Report informs via Anadolu.
According to Ibrahim Kalin, Ankara is ready to discuss challenges and threats with its partners to take joint steps to eliminate them, and if this is not possible, Turkiye intends to solve the problems "with its own power."
He noted that all decisions and actions of the Turkish Army in the areas bordering Syria and Iraq are based on Article 51 of the UN Charter (right to self-defense):
"The modern concept of combating terrorism involves destroying the threat at its root," he added.
