US urges Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan to observe ceasefire

The US is worried about the clashes on the Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan border, the US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said, Report informs.
“Civilian lives are at risk and we express our condolences to the victims. We call on both sides to respect the ceasefire and increase efforts to restore calm through diplomacy,” Price said.
On September 14, another armed conflict began on the Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan border. Both sides accuse each other of starting the clash and using heavy military equipment and weapons.
