MFA: Israel did not demand that Gazans move to Egypt

Israel did not demand that residents of the Gaza Strip move into neighboring Egypt, but only to the south of the enclave for their safety, Deputy Israeli Foreign Ministry Spokesman for Arab Media Hassan Kaabiya said, Report informs.

“A few days ago, the IDF proposed creating safe corridors in the Gaza Strip, especially in the north of Gaza, for movement to the south, and not to Egypt or Sinai, as claimed by Hamas, which is spreading lies,” he said.

According to him, the movement of the Gaza Strip residents to the south of the enclave is carried out “only for the sake of their safety.”

“The territory where they are located is a battlefield, but we act in accordance with international law and strive not to harm civilians during bombing,” Kaabiya stated.
