Lebanese President Michel Aoun has refected call to create international commission into the inquiry of Beirut blast but allows foreign investigators to participate in it, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.
Aoun said he would not retire because of this incident.
"Our Constitution requires that our judicial system investigate internal problems. It does not exclude French, American, and other investigators who are already helping our police," he said in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera.
The President added that the government would follow every lead to clarify the causes of the devastating explosion at the port of Beirut and not excluding the possibility of an Israeli missile. "It looks like an accident, but we follow every lead."
