Uzbekistan interested in increasing transshipment capacity along Middle Corridor

Uzbekistan is interested in increasing the transshipment capacity along the Middle Corridor to 1.5 million tons, Begzod Kholmatov, Director of the Center for the Study of Transport and Logistics Development under the Uzbek Transport Ministry, said at a round table on the topic “Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan: new horizons of cooperation,” organized by the Center for Analysis of International Relations in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that the volume of transported goods is growing dynamically between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: “In this vein, the Middle Corridor plays an important role.”
Begzod Kholmatov also noted that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan may cooperate in the field of shipbuilding.
