Azerbaijan sees 3% rise in industrial production

From January through April this year, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field manufactured products worth 27.7 billion manats ($16.2 billion), up 2.7% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, production in oil sector rose by 0.3%, the non-oil and gas sector - by 15.1%.

Some 75.5% of industrial products were in the mining sector, 21.1% in the processing sector, 3.9% in the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, 0.5% in the water supply, water treatment, and waste processing sector.

Commercial oil production in the mining sector decreased by 3.9%, while marketable gas production rose by 16.5%.

The production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and the steam sector grew by 2.7%, and the water supply, water treatment, and waste processing sector ascended by 10.1%.
