Left leg of shepherd hit by landmine in Azerbaijan’s Tartar amputated

Left leg of Azer Mammadov, who was hit by a landmine while grazing animals in the Tartar district, was amputated.

Report's Karabakh bureau informs that he was initially placed in the Central Hospital of the Tartar district.

Mammadov was evacuated to the Barda District Central Hospital after receiving first aid. Here, his left leg was amputated.

A resident of Tartar was hit by a landmine in the village of Goyarkh, which is on the former line of contact of troops, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told Report.

The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the mine explosion on the morning of February 5 of Tartar resident Azer Mammadov (born 1966) while grazing animals in the village of Goyarkh, the department noted.

The man reportedly suffered an injury to his left leg as a result of the incident.
