Soyun Sadigov arrested

Moscow. 12 February. REPORT.AZ/ Former well-known leader of Azerbaijani diaspora Soyun Sadigov was detained by local law enforcement agencies in the Russian city of Rostov.
Moscow Bureau of Report News Agency informs that Sadigov was arrested on charges of racketeering. He is accused of demanding 100 million rubles by force.
The former diaspora leader was detained during the incident in one of the city cafes.
Soyun Sadigov worked as the chairman of the Azerbaijani Cultural Autonomy for many years. He was a reliable representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2012-2018. His name has long been in the press various political and public. His name was mentioned by various political and public scandals in press.
