WhatsApp users get warned of new fraud type

A new type of fraud is spreading in the WhatsApp messenger related to the pink theme of the application, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
The problem faced by thousands of program users around the world is reported by PhoneArena.
The scheme is as follows - a user receives a message in one of the group chats, which is disguised as an official WhatsApp update. It offers to install a pink theme, offering to follow the link. After that, a program is installed on the victim’s smartphone that disguises itself as a messenger and requires account data.
In case the user has installed malicious software, it is recommended to uninstall the application and log out of all WhatsApp accounts. It is advisable to change passwords as well.
