132 people infected with monkeypox in Spain

Spanish authorities have confirmed at least 132 cases of monkeypox, Report informs via TASS.
The Carlos III Institute of Health confirmed 132 positive cases of orthopoxvirus, so they are recognized as confirmed cases of monkeypox, the Spanish Health Ministry said.
According to the Público newspaper, 100 infections have been recorded in Portugal, four cases more than the figure announced on Monday.
The World Health Organization (WHO) notes that monkeypox is a rare viral disease that occurs mainly in remote areas in central and western Africa, near tropical rainforests.
