“During 20 years, I witnessed great differences in Azerbaijan, and you should be proud of it. Azerbaijan has a very significant heritage. I have always been fascinated by the greatness of your national and cultural heritage,” the chairperson at the Maltese National Commission for UNESCO, Raymond Bondin, said at the 5th meeting of the ministers in the framework of the 6th World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue held on May 1 in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that great things have been done in the country over the past years. The representative of Malta added that sometimes goals are forgotten.
“Our goal is to live in peace. Our differences make us stronger. We must do our best so that Azerbaijan’s heritage receives the value it deserves. Important work is being done in connection with UNESCO’s world heritage policy, and some examples of heritage that play an important role in the history of mankind should be added to the UNESCO World Heritage List,” Raymond Bondin said.
