President: Latvia interested in closer cooperation with Azerbaijan

Baku. 17 March. REPORT.AZ/ "Latvia is interested in North-South project."
Report informs, Report informs Latvian president Raimonds Vējonis told reporters.
"Latvia is interested in closer cooperation with Azerbaijan and our side is interested in many projects, including North-South project, which partially passes through the territory of Iran and Azerbaijan," R. Vējonis said.
According to him, the Latvian side attaches great importance to this project.
"Latvia has always been and will be a good regional hub for the supply of various goods to the northern countries - Finland, Sweden, Norway, as well as to any EU country," Latvian president added.
