PACE co-rapporteurs to visit Azerbaijan

Co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on Azerbaijan Stefan Schennach and Roger Gale will visit Baku, Stefan Schennach told Report's French bureau.

According to him, they will observe the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan on February 9: "We will visit Azerbaijan for the first time as observers. We will familiarize ourselves with the pre-election situation, preparations for the elections and the course of the elections."

PACE will send more than 30 observers to the country to observe the early parliamentary elections.
