President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has praised the dynamics of the development of trade and economic relations with Azerbaijan, Report informs via Akorda.
Speaking at the first meeting of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan High-Level Intergovernmental Council, the leader of Kazakhstan said the trade between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan has risen fivefold since 2020.
"Certainly, the absolute figures may be not so impressing. Some work needs to be done here, but the dynamics itself is worthy of appraisal. Our countries have immense economic potential. And I think the ensuing successes won't take long to appear," he said.
The president of Kazakhstan also noted that the countries develop cooperation in many economic spheres.
"The cooperation range is broad, we have talked about it today, from transport and logistics to digitalization, not to mention oil and gas. I am glad that we work successfully in the international arena. Our delegations in UN and other international organizations interact successfully. I think that this line will be continued," he said.
