Number of incoming applications from Azerbaijan to ECHR decreases twofold

Baku. 25 January. REPORT.AZ/ The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) delivered judgements on 43 applications from Azerbaijan, according to the court's annual review of 2018.
This is almost a two-fold decrease compared to 2017 when the judgments were delivered on 97 decisions.
The number of new applications from Azerbaijan allocated to a judicial formation in 2018 was 313, a more than two-fold decrease as compared to 679 in 2017.
Of them, 263 were declared inadmissible or struck out.
Azerbaijan joined the European Convention on human rights in January 2001. The first case was solved in 2006.
