Azerbaijani FM meets with personal representative of Congolese President

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Personal Representative of the President of the Republic of the Congo for Strategic Issues and International Negotiations, Francoise Joly, Report informs.

The meeting addressed the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Congo.

It was noted that Azerbaijan considers the development of ties with African countries as one of its main foreign policy priorities.

The meeting participants expressed their satisfaction with the mutual support of their countries within the Non-Aligned Movement, the UN, and other international organizations and platforms.

The sides also discussed the opportunities for Congolese students to study in Azerbaijan under the scholarship program of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Jeyhun Bayramov pointed out that the COP-29, which will be hosted by Azerbaijan this year, creates additional opportunities for cooperation. The meeting ended with an exchange of views on various issues of mutual interest.
