Samir Abasov refused proposal of club in Azerbaijani Premier League

Baku. 21 May. REPORT.AZ/ Samir Abasov, who resigned from head coach of "Sumgayit" football team, refused the proposal of one club playing in Azerbaijan Premier League.

40-year-old specialist informed Report. But he did not prefer to disclose the name of the club: "There was a proposal. We refused it. Because it did not seem attractive and perspective to me. But I will not disclose the name of the club".

S.Abasov said that the news about he would lead “Neftchi” is not real: "There was not such proposal."

The young specialist also told that he expects proposal from abroad. S.Abasov noted that he asked Russian agents to find a club for him: "If it was proposal from abroad it would be pleasant to work there. But there is not real option yet."

Samir Abasov announced his decision to resign after the match at the XXVIII tour of Premier League against "Zira" which they lost with 1:2 score. He said that he took this step because he did not agree with the current strategy of club.
