Remittances from France to Azerbaijan jump nearly 90%

In 2024, the volume of remittances sent by individuals from France to Azerbaijan reached $11.787 million, marking an impressive increase of 88.47% (or $5.533 million) from the previous year, according to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

France now accounts for 1.1% of the total remittances flowing into Azerbaijan.

On the other hand, remittances from Azerbaijan to France grew by 25.17%, reaching $7.693 million.

In total, remittances from abroad to Azerbaijan in 2024 amounted to $1.082 billion, representing a decrease of 34.56% year-on-year. Meanwhile, remittances from Azerbaijan to foreign countries totaled $526.759 million, marking a 4.25% drop.

In 2023, remittances from France to Azerbaijan stood at $6.254 million, while the overall remittances into Azerbaijan amounted to $1.654 billion. During the same period, remittances from Azerbaijan to France totaled $6.146 million, and remittances to all foreign countries were $550.126 million.
