Non-resident see rise in deposits in Azerbaijani banks

Baku. 4 February. REPORT.AZ/ As of January 1, 2019, the deposits of non-residents in Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 763.8 million, up AZN 3.8 million or 0.5% from previous month, AZN 18.8 million or 2.5% compared to a year earlier, Report informs citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

Foreigners’ deposits in manat increased by 5% or AZN 4.9 million to AZN 103.3 million, in USD – by 0.2% or AZN 1.1 million to AZN 660.5 million.

Individuals’ deposits in the banks amounted to AZN 8,375,400,000, with AZN 7,611,600,000 or 90.9% resident, AZN 763,800,000 or 9.1% non-residents' deposits.
