Next coupon payment on SOCAR bonds credited

The next coupon payment on SOCAR bonds was deposited into the bondholders’ accounts on May 1, 2024. SOCAR bonds have a par value of $1,000, a maturity period of 5 years, and a 4.5% coupon rate paid on a quarterly basis, Report informs, citing SOCAR Capital.

Following the 10th coupon payment, the second SOCAR bonds yielded $1.125 million in income for bondholders, contributing to a cumulative total income of $11,250,000.

Since their public offering on the Baku Stock Exchange, SOCAR bonds have consistently remained among the most in-demand corporate securities, continuing to attract significant investor interest. Combined, the 2016 and 2021 issuances of SOCAR bonds have generated over $36 million in total income for investors since their introduction in 2016.

The secondary market has witnessed an impressive volume of operations, surpassing $44 million, with over 700 transactions recorded during the past two and a half years. This robust activity underscores the strong demand for these bonds.

SOCAR bonds, available for purchase at SOCAR bond kiosks established in ASAN Service Centers No. 1 and 5, as well as through registered investment companies in Azerbaijan, maintain high liquidity. Notably, their secondary market price has consistently remained above the par value of $1000.

The next coupon payment on SOCAR bonds will take place on August 1, 2024.
