Indexes in New York rise amid COVID-19 vaccine hopes

Key indexes on the New York stock exchange showed positive dynamics at the close of the session on Friday, amid market participants ' optimism about the prospects for obtaining a coronavirus vaccine.
According to data on the trading platform's website, the Dow Jones industrial average rose by 399.18 points (+1.37%) by the final bell and stopped at 29,479.81. The S&P 500 index, which includes the 500 largest companies in the US market, rose 48.14 points (+1.36%) to 3,585.15. The NASDAQ electronic exchange index rose 119.70 points (+1.02%) to 11,829.29.
The price of December futures for WTI crude oil fell by 2.29% to $ 40.18 per barrel by the close of the session. Gold futures rose 0.72% to $ 1,886. 70 per Troy ounce.
