Azerbaijan sees 56% rise in BoP surplus

İn the first quarter of 2019, surplus of the Balance of Payment (BoP) amounted to $2,019,300,000, up 55.8% from the previous year, Report informs citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The growth is linked to high oil price, as well as positive tendencies in the current account balance.
The surplus was formed from $1,602,700,000-surplus (+3% from the previous year) in the currency account balance, $1.9 million-deficit in capital account (surplus a year ago), $215.1 million-deficit (-53.5%) in financial account and $633.6 million-surplus (+3.1-fold) on balancing items.
