Azerbaijan’s insurance market grows 12%

In January-May 2020, Azerbaijan-based 21 insurers collected AZN 355.907 million in premiums, up 11.5% from the previous year, Report informs citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
In the reporting period, the insurance payments amounted to AZN 136.8 million, up 45.9% compared to a year earlier.
During the reporting period, 38.4 AZN of insurance payments accounted for per 100 AZN insurance premiums, while this figure was AZN 29.4 in January-May 2019.
