Azerbaijan reports surplus of nearly $2 billion in its consolidated budget

The revenues of Azerbaijan's consolidated budget amounted to 12.612 billion manats ($7.41 billion), and expenses totaled 9.263 billion manats ($5.45 billion) in the first quarter of 2024.
Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance, that this represents an increase of 18.9% and 23.7% year-on-year, respectively.
As a result, a surplus of 3,348.9 million manats ($1.97 billion) was formed in the consolidated budget, a decrease of 58.5% year over year.
