Azerbaijan imposes excise tax on imported buses

Baku. 2 January. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan imposes excise tax on imported buses since January 1.

Report informs that item 190.4.1-1 is added to article 190 (List and tax rates of excisable goods)

The excise rate for imported buses will be set as follows:

• -AZN 2 for each cubic centimeter of the engine capacity up to 4,000 cubic centimeters;
• -AZN 8,000 for up to 6,000 cubic centimeters plus AZN 4 for each cubic centimeter from 4,001 to 6,000 cubic centimeters;
• -AZN 16,000 for up to 8,000 cubic centimeters plus AZN 6 for each cubic centimeter from 6,001 to 8,000 cubic centimeters;
• -AZN 28,000 for  up to 10,000 cubic centimeters plus AZN 8 for each cubic centimeter from 8,001 to 10,000 cubic centimeters;
• -AZN 44,000 for more than 10,000 cubic centimeters plus AZN 10 for each cubic centimeter from 10,000 cubic centimeters. 

When importing buses with the production date of more than a year and the vehicle usage of more than 100,000 kilometers, the indicated excise rates are calculated with the coefficient of 1.5.
