US may levy sanctions against Allseas and Saipem

Baku. 9 January. REPORT.AZ/ The White House will levy sanctions against two European contractors that are laying the pipeline for the Nord Stream 2 project, Report informs citing German newspaper Handelsblatt. The sanctions prepared by the Department of State will be imposed on Swiss Allseas and Italian Saipem.
The newspaper notes Germany's concern in this regard and that Germany will try to affect Washington's decision in this issue.
Saipem refused to comment, while Allseas knows nothing about the prepared sanctions.
