SOCAR, Citigroup Inc. mull expanding financial partnership

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and US-based Citigroup Inc. have exchanged views on opportunities to expand their partnership in the financial sphere, Report informs, citing a post on X by SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Najaf and a delegation led by Citigroup's Chief Client Officer David Livingstone.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the current situation in international financial markets, energy project financing, and alternative financing mechanisms.

Najaf noted that strong financial partnerships create new opportunities for expanding SOCAR's investment portfolio and implementing strategic projects.
