G7 countries refuse to pay for Russian gas in rubles

France will not accept Russia's demand to pay for gas supplies in rubles, Report informs citing RIA Novosti that French Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire said.
"I want to remind you of the G7 statement. We will not accept the requirement to pay for gas in another currency. This is not stipulated by the agreements. Agreements are agreements and they must be strictly observed," the minister said at a press conference in Berlin.
