ICRC Azerbaijan made 80 visits in 2023

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Azerbaijan conducted 80 visits (in 19 detention centers) last year, ICRC told Report.

The visit was made to assess the detention conditions of the prisoners, their treatment and to support communication with their family.

A total of 1,600 verbal, written and video messages were exchanged by the Armenians detained in Azerbaijan and their family members, and 40 verbal, written and video messages were sent between the Azerbaijani citizens detained in Armenia and their family members, and phone calls were made: "More than 6,000 detained persons received summer and winter clothes, underwear, benefited from the donation of different goods, including clothes, shoes, sanitary napkins, books, sports equipment, etc."
