Exhibition on Armenian vandalism in Karabakh opens in US

An exhibition dedicated to Armenian vandalism in Karabakh has opened in the US, the local bureau of Report informs.

The exhibition, which takes place in one of the leading exhibition halls in New York, features photos taken by Italian photographer Fabrizio Conti. They depict the damage caused to the material and cultural heritage of Karabakh as a result of the long-term Armenian occupation.

The opening ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Anar Karimov, Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Yashar Aliyev, diplomats, intellectuals, activists of the US Azerbaijani community and representatives of the local community.

Speaking at the presentation, documentary filmmaker Conti spoke about the project he implemented to present to the world the crime committed by the Armenians in Karabakh.

Conti said that he voluntarily went to Aghdam after the second Karabakh war. “It is difficult to describe what I saw when I first entered the once prosperous city; for this reason, perhaps, I wanted my photos and video filming to “speak” of the systematic destruction - during the Armenian occupation - that, gradually destroying it, made Aghdam the largest ghost town in the world,” the photographer emphasized.
