As a part of the COP29 conference, the EkoSfera Social Ecological Center organized an event showcasing children's and youth's appeals for the protection of the planet and environment, Firuza Sultanzada, head of the center, told journalists, Report informs.
Sultanzada emphasized that the COP29 platform provides a unique opportunity to amplify children's voices on a global scale.
She explained that they are striving to convey the thoughts and ideas of children and young people to the international community in the final days of the event.
"Today, in the COP29 platform, particularly in the Blue Zone, our children addressed adults and stakeholders, highlighting the crucial importance of preserving nature," the official noted.
Sultanzada further stated that the event demonstrated the creative potential of children in solving climate change issues. "By ensuring children's participation in this platform, we are making their voices heard at a global level and contributing to building a better world for future generations," she added.
