Azerbaijan resumes mandarin orange exports from Marocco

From January through July 2022, Azerbaijan imported 6,899 tons of mandarin oranges worth $4.9 million, respectively, up 10.5% and 3.4% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 6,230 tons (+33.9%) of mandarin oranges worth $4.37 million (+34.1%) from Turkiye, 419.19 tons (-60.3%) worth $335,350 (-60.4%) from Pakistan, 139.18 tons (+63.5) worth $105,520 (+65.6%) from Egypt, 40.1 tons (+3.6 times) worth $32,100 (+3.6 times) from Peru, and 27.24 tons worth $21,800 from Marocco.

After two years and three months, Azerbaijan resumed imports from Marocco.

Last year, Turkiye supplied 79% of the 8,676 tons of mandarin oranges Azerbaijan imported from 7 countries.
