Putin: Transportation to have competitive advantage with launch of Rasht-Astara railway

The launch of the Rasht-Astara railway will allow diversifying global traffic flows, transportation will have competitive advantages, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the ceremony of signing an agreement on the creation of a railway section in Iran, Report informs referring to Russian media.

He noted that this section will allow connecting land sections of the International North-South Transport Corridor.

He added that the launch of the North-South corridor will be used to transport food of the agro-industrial complex for consumers in Iran, as well as for Africa.
