Kallas: EU may ease sanctions if there is tangible progress in Syria

The European Union (EU) may ease sanctions against Damascus if there is noticeable progress in Syria, said Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Report informs.

"In Rome, I joined the Quint meeting to coordinate efforts for Syria's transition.

With Germany, France, Italy, the UK and US, we reaffirmed the need for an inclusive government protecting all minorities.

The EU could gradually ease sanctions provided there is tangible progress," Kallas said in a post on X.
