Another minister resigns in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amarawira has announced his resignation, Report informs via Ada Derana news portal.
Amarawira decided to resign after Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa announced that he would step down on July 13. Thus, with Amarawira, the number of ministers who left the government cabinet of Sri Lanka will reach four.
On July 9, thousands of protesters took to the streets of Colombo and demanded Rajapaksa's resignation. They entered the presidential residence. Forty-five people got injured. Later, protesters entered the premises of the prime minister's residence and set fire to the building. Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe announced his resignation amid the unrest.
