Expert: Middle Corridor crucial for Italy

The middle corridor is crucial for Italy and Europe as a whole, the participant of the 4th international conference on “Shaping the Geopolitics of the Greater Eurasia: From Past to Present to Future”, Professor of the Sapienza University of Rome Daniel Pommier Vincelli told Report in Shusha.

“Today, Italy depends on 20% of its gas needs of energy supply from Azerbaijan. We must increase energy security through the Southern Gas Corridor. We are much more dependent on the Southern Gas Corridor. The Middle Corridor by connecting Europe with Asia through Türkiye and Azerbaijan can give us very important contribution. We support this project,” he added.
