NGO chairman: Landmines have killed 36 people in liberated areas so far in 2024

Thirty-six people became victims of landmines in the liberated areas so far in 2024, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Campaign Against Landmines Public Union Hafiz Safikhanov told a press conference on the results of the project for strengthening international demining support to Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Safikhanov noted that according to the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), the incidents occurred from January 1 through August 15, 2024:

"Four people died and 32 were injured in 23 incidents during this period."
