"On January 30, we declared a state of emergency, taking into account the international community's health concerns. The World Health Organization's emergency committee has independent experts," the spokesperson for the World Health Organization (WHO) on COVID-19 Margaret Harris said in an interview with Real TV.
According to her, meetings are still being held to review the situation:
"According to the general opinion of July's meeting, the state of emergency must continue. We will lift the state of emergency when the number of diseases and deaths in all countries decreases, and there are no infections among countries. At present, we are far from those conditions."
