The next international conference with the participation of the representatives of international think tanks may be held in Lachin next year.
According to Report, during the International Conference 'South Caucasus: Development and Cooperation,'' ADA University Rector Hafiz Pashayev suggested paying the next visit to Lachin, to which President Ilham Aliyev replied, ''Agreed!''
The President said international airports are under construction in Lachin and Zangilan, with the airport in Zangilan to be commissioned this year and in Lachin - possibly in 2023-2024. The head of state added that it might be possible to find an opportunity to get there easily and comfortably.
"Maybe we can think of some other forms of meetings and conferences in-between. Maybe in other cities: maybe in Aghdam in Zangilan and other liberated cities, to make, I think, our interaction more efficient. Because for us, important is that the international community knows what has happened, knows the full truth about the years of occupation, and knows about our plans and intentions to build peace. For that reason, I think it should be a permanent line of contact between our participants and those members of expert society who didn't manage to be with us today," the head of state said.
The first day of the conference took place in Shusha yesterday, and the second day is underway at the ADA University in Baku with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan.
