Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Tatyana Molchan about environmental terror by Armenia, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Bayramov also spoke about the destruction and large-scale mine threat in the region that arose as a result of Armenia’s occupation of the sovereign territories of Azerbaijan, and the efforts of the Azerbaijani side to eliminate the consequences of the occupation.
Tatyana Molchan was informed about the projects that are planned to be implemented in the liberated territories, including the creation of a "net zero emission" zone by 2050, the creation of a "green energy zone", the transition to renewable energy sources, the creation of the concepts of "smart city" and "smart village", ensuring sustainable management of transboundary water resources and increasing the number of green spaces.
The parties emphasized the importance of joint support for projects aimed at implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
