Expert: Azerbaijan carried out anti-terrorist measures for sake of peace and security of Karabakh population

The political support and diplomatic facilitation of several Western countries to Armenian false, fake and fabricated propaganda is nothing but double standards against Azerbaijan, Pakistani expert, executive director of the Center for South Asia and International Studies (CSAIS) Mehmood Ulhassan Khan told Report.

“No country has the right to interfere in the domestic affairs of Azerbaijan. International law permits Azerbaijan to protect its national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he noted.

He also expressed concern about the support of a number of countries for Armenia during the recent meeting of the UN Security Council. He noted that France’s pro-Armenian position was expected in view of the country’s historical relations with Armenia and the vast Armenian diaspora.

The expert added that the recently launched local anti-terrorism measures were timely and necessary: “It was for the peace, prosperity and safety of the local people.”
