Manchester City, the English football club, has achieved a new feat in the UEFA Champions League (CL) by winning 10 matches in a row, Report informs.
The club secured this record in the second leg of the 1/8 finals, where they beat the Danish team Copenhagen 3:1.
This was the longest winning streak for Pep Guardiola’s team in the most prestigious club competition in Europe. Manchester City also became the first English club to win 10 consecutive games in the CL.
Before Manchester, only two other clubs had reached this level of performance. Real Madrid won 10 games in a row in 2015, while Bayern Munich did the same in 2013 and 15 in 2020.
Moreover, Manchester City set another record by scoring at least 3 goals in 9 successive home games in the Champions League. Manchester City, who won both games against Copenhagen 3:1, moved on to the 1/4 finals.
