As of May 1, 2025, the deposit portfolio of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 41.433 billion manats ($24.37 billion), Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
This is 2.4% more compared to the previous month, 2.9% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 10.4% more compared to the same period last year.
Of this amount, 56.1%, or $23.23 billion manats ($13.66 billion), accounted for the share of non-financial organizations - 8.1% more compared to the previous year.
During the year, household deposits increased by 10% to 14.853 billion manats ($8.74 billion), while deposits of financial institutions increased by 31.3% to 3.35 billion manats ($1.97 billion).
During the reporting period, 23.13 billion manats ($13.6 billion; decreased by 1.4% during the year) of total deposits were short-term, while 18.305 billion manats ($10.77 billion; increased by 30%) were long-term.
