Nikolov: Forum in Baku - timely platform to discuss energy challenges

“During the Energy Week in Baku, we will be able to discuss with our partners the security of oil and gas supply, the future of electricity systems and the development of RES,” Bulgarian Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov said in an interview with Report.

“These are crucial issues for achieving transparent, market-based and competitive development of the energy sector in the region for the benefit of all consumers.

In the context of the crises that the European continent is experiencing, the COVID-19 pandemic, the subsequent spike in energy prices and the war in Ukraine, the forum in Baku comes just in time as a platform for discussing the challenges of overcoming these crises,” he noted.

This year, the Baku Energy Week will be held in the capital of Azerbaijan June 1-4. Taking into account current trends in the energy sector, the Baku Energy Week in Azerbaijan brings together the 27th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, the 10th Anniversary Caspian International Power and Renewable Energy Exhibition, as well as the Baku Energy Forum. This year, 249 companies from 30 countries will take part in the exhibitions and forum.
