Azerbaijan increases gas exports by 18%

In January-March this year, the volume of gas exports from Azerbaijan abroad amounted to 5.9 billion cubic meters, Report informs referring to the operational data of the Ministry of Energy on oil and gas production in the country for the first three months of this year.

This is 0.9 billion cubic meters or 18% more than in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Turkiye, 2.6 billion cubic meters to Europe and 1.1 billion cubic meters to Georgia.

During this period, more than 4 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Turkiye through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP).

Natural gas is supplied to Turkiye via the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) and the TANAP, to Georgia - via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum and Gazimamed-Gazakh gas pipelines.
