The modalities of building Pakistan-Azerbaijan Trade House have been designed and shall be implemented in the coming days with support from the governments, diplomatic missions, trade and economic bodies from both sides, Muhammad Asif Noor, chairman of the Global Business Alliance and CEO at Belt and Road Consultants Pvt, told Report.
“The business leaders in the group [of the Pakistani delegation to Azerbaijan] have made a substantial contribution towards agreeing on building Pakistan-Azerbaijan Trade House. The modalities have been designed and shall be implemented in coming days with the support from the governments, diplomatic missions, trade and economic bodies from both sides,” he said, noting that at first the trading house will function online, and later an office will be opened in both Baku and Islamabad.
As he said, during the recent visit of the business delegation of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, Global Business Alliance signed two important MoUs: one is with the Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the second one was with the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“Another step is that Global Business Alliance is also working on building the transport-related matters which has remained a challenge. Global Business Alliance has made discussions over this subject during the delegation level talks in Baku,” Noor noted.
They also plan to invite businessmen and women from Azerbaijan to Pakistan to meet with Pakistani colleagues in Pakistan, he added. So, during their stay in Baku, they planned and met with colleagues to finalize the details of this process.
Overall, important business-to-business meetings were held between companies, and there were discussions about promoting trade and economic ties. “I think this delegation has outclassed many expectations and set the highest bar so far for building delegation-level talks amongst the business community from Pakistan to Azerbaijan,” he said.
