Ukrainian Defense Ministry on latest situation along frontline

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have gained the upper hand and repelled the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in all directions, Report informs, citing the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

"Russian troops and equipment have suffered heavy losses in the Polesie, Siver and Southern Buh operation zones and have been suspended. They are trying to maintain the previously occupied territories," the ministry said.

"The occupiers, trying to advance in the direction of Donetsk, received a strong response from the Ukrainian defenders and were stopped in various directions, as a result of which the speed of the invaders' advance was significantly slowed down."

Thirty-one Russian tactical units operating in Ukraine have lost their ability to fight since the war began.

"As a result of military operations, most of the units of the Russian Armed Forces, which are in direct confrontation with units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, are discouraged, the moral and psychological condition of their personnel continues to deteriorate, and the number of surrenders continues to grow. In the last three days, small groups of deserters from the opposite side have been moving towards the state border," the Defense Ministry of Ukraine said.
