Russia cancels mass events due to COVID

“The situation with coronavirus in Russia is extremely tense; in 12 regions the incidence rate is growing much faster than in the rest, only in five regions the decline continues. Mass events have been stopped throughout the country. They are carried out only in accordance with the decree of the chief state sanitary doctor depending on the epidemiological situation,” head of the Russian consumer watchdog Anna Popova said, the Russian bureau of Report informs.
She said that the choice of restrictive measures in the Russian regions is adequate. However, there are many questions regarding the control of the observance of the mask regime in the cities of Russia, she noted.
The deterioration of the situation with the coronavirus in Moscow is also noted. According to the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, there is a need to return to the practice of holding sweepstakes and lotteries after vaccination: “The situation with coronavirus in Moscow cause concerns, so we intend to return to the practice of lotteries after vaccination.”
